For budget conscious couples, we strategically guide our couples toward high-value venues like The Steeple House (Kapalua) or Gannon’s / Gather on Maui (Wailea), which inherently offer a superior covered backup space.

• The Commitment: Our venue agreements explicitly reserve the dedicated indoor/covered space (e.g., The Steeple House Chapel, a private lanai at Gather) for your exclusive use during your contracted time slot.
• The Guarantee: This guaranteed use comes with a $0 Additional Fee clause if the “rain call” is made by your planner. Your contract guarantees that shifting to Plan B will not incur any unforeseen cost.

We take responsibility for monitoring Maui’s microclimates. The final decision to execute the rain plan will be made by your full-service planner 4 hours prior to the ceremony start time, ensuring we maximize your chance for an outdoor view while preventing a setup disaster. Wailea and Kihei will always have the best opportunity for desired weather as compared to Kaanapali and Kapalua.

2. Vendor Flex-Time and Setup Protection

If the weather requires a delay or a change in setup location, we ensure your most critical vendors are contractually prepared.

• Photography/Videography: Contracts include a 60-minute Flex-Time Clause allowing us the option to delay the ceremony start time by up to one hour to avoid a passing shower, without triggering overtime fees.
• Florals and Décor: For rain-sensitive items (arches, aisle décor), our vendors are instructed to hold off on setup until the 1-hour “clear” window is established. If the setup shifts indoors, the labor to move is pre-negotiated to be covered within the original fee. Additional fees will be incurred if the couple insists on changing back to outdoors at the last minute.
